I PROFESS: THE GRAPHIC DESIGN MANIFESTO

In 2003 I was invited to submit a poster describing my teaching philosophy. Naturally, I found this an exciting challenge and an interesting undertaking. My teaching style at the time is the same as now--I encourage a diversity of artists working in a diversity of mediums. I feel that my main task is to try to understand the nature of each artist and bring out the best in each, including subject matter and form. Though my basic teaching philosophy remains the same, my response now would look different, as we are in different generation, different technological age, and different economy. Below is my entry.
